The purpose of the Essex Village Community Outreach Center
is to minister to the needs of the Essex Village section 8
housing development by providing church services as well as
help to uplift the residents.
The following are services provided by our organization:
Assistance in overcoming alcohol/substance abuse issues
Crisis intervention
Job readiness
Direct material aid (food, clothing, household items)
Life skills education (parenting, money management)
Bible studies
Christmas or holiday help
Volunteers needed to:
Help with the music ministry – playing instruments and/or
singing
Help with the Saturday children’s ministry outreach
Teach children’s Sunday school
Assist with job training program
Help with fund raising
Our long-range goals are to:
To meet the spiritual needs of the community through
discipling, Bible studies, baptism
To see the members of the community successfully transition
off the welfare program
